Prostate cancer is a kind of cancer feared by men.Prostate cancer arises due to mutation in prostate cells that grow uncontrollably and can destroy the bones, lymph nodes and surrounding organs.Prostate cancer cause pain, difficulty urinating, and erectile dysfunction. Prostate cancer most often present in elderly men. But studies show men with newly diagnosed prostate cancer can prevent the development by doing brisk walking.
Based on observations made by researchers known to the individuals who walk briskly for at least three hours a week can reduce the
cancer will grow and spread in the next few years.
Researchers from the University of Texas San Francisco studied 1455 people, mostly 60 years elderly diagnosed with localized prostate cancer (not spread to other body parts). Participants are asked to tell how lots of exercises are completed and what type. In the work of 31 weeks the researchers analyzed participants including illness recurrence, the occurrence of bone tumors and death from prostate cancer.
Researchers found that men who walked briskly for at least three hours a week are less likely to get of prostate cancer complications.
It seems the man who walked quickly after the diagnosis can delay or even prevent the progression of the illness. The
benefits of jogging relies on how fast you run, said Erin Richman research chief, as quoted by BBC News (06/2011).
Richman said that jogging is something that can be completed by everyone, but sauntering appear to have no benefit for this. Because scientists think could affect the fast paced development of cancer by altering levels of positive proteins that have been proven in the laboratory to function promotes cancer growth.
The results of this study still must continue to ascertain whether the results can be applied to all patients with prostate cancer or not. But the prostate cancer patients are still advised to have a healthy lifestyle that includes physical activity and consult a physician before doing a new activity.
